Great Grated Roasted Turnip
Purple Top Turnips are spicy and delicious if you know what to do with them. This week I am grating the turnip, (more than you would think-they shrink when cooked), and tossing with olive oil, and salt (you could add spices to make it more fun). Roast in an oven until brown, stirring occasionally. Add more salt to taste and serve! The roasting takes the spiciness down a bit, but preserves the earthy flavor.
