String Bean Togarashi
This is easy beansy to make, and so very delicious.
Spice Profile: Black sesame seeds, cured sumac, dulse, sea salt, orange zest, orange oil, poppy seeds, red chile flakes, white sesame seeds.
Clean up about 3/4 lbs green or yellow string beans. I just break off the tough tops on the stem side. Set the beans aside. In a mixing bowl combine 2 TBS honey, 2 tsp soy sauce and 1 tsp white vinegar. Add the beans to a medium-hot oiled pan. I like sesame oil for this. Sauté the beans until they get well cooked, stirring often. A little char is great. You could also oil the beans and put them in a grill basket for your grill. After sauteing (about 10-14 minutes) shut the heat off, but leave the pan on the burner. Add the honey mixture and stir to coat well. Allow residual heat to cook the mixture for a minute or so more then toss in the spice, (2 tsp Stock+Spice Sumac Togarashi), and mix well. Serve and enjoy!
